Sam Bagenda, popularly known as Dr. Bbosa has praised Hilton High School for its investment in music, dance, and drama during the recent Performing Arts Day.
The celebrated veteran of Uganda’s performing arts industry served as the guest of honour on an occasion when students showcased their artistic talents.
After the vibrant event, Dr. Bbosa spoke to the media, commending the wealth of talent in Uganda and the brilliance of young performers. He urged other schools to empower aspiring actors and actresses.
“As a country, we are fortunate to have such talent. The art, passion, and energy visible here only need a bit of refinement to meet international standards,” he said.
He emphasized the need for experienced individuals in the industry to create an organization that can support young talents in overcoming daily challenges.
Additionally, he expressed heartfelt appreciation to the headteacher, Mr Katimbo Gordon, for his support and vision in promoting the arts at the Mukono-based school.
Known for his iconic work and infectious energy, Dr Bbosa was impressed by the outstanding performances, which energized the audience and had everyone on their feet in jubilation.
He urged the school leadership to continue supporting young talents as they work to shape their careers.
Mr. Katimbo confidently assured students and the public that Hilton High School is committed to elevating the arts, thereby nurturing the creativity and expression of its learners.
