Silver Springs Adventist Church (SSAC) was launched splendidly on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
It was a thrilling moment as members congregated in worship to see the newborn baby take its first official step as a Sabbath School under the warm wings of Emmaus SDA Church.
Elder Samsom Rwahwire, the Sabbath School leader, revealed that it’s a great honour and privilege to see that their evangelism plan has bore fruit.
“I am happy to say we have finally launched this Sabbath School. It’s a big milestone, and we thank God for the blessing,” he revealed.
“It was a great turnup where we had about 70 members attend, and that has been Sabbath number one. Basically, it’s been God’s providence and leading throughout the journey,” he added.
“We call upon every one that stays around Bugolobi, and they are interested in ministry to support God’s work to see that this Sabbath School grows to greater heights.”
The Brief Background
Emmaus SDA Church has so far organised two evangelism efforts this year. The first was the Home Coming Impact, and 30 baptisms were realised.
The second effort was placed in September around the outskirts of Mutungo, and 13 souls were baptised.
In the same breath, over 100 souls were baptised through Prison Ministries, and that kicked off the birth of Silver Spring Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The Eagle Eye
Rwahwire is confident that there are still more ripe areas such as Kololo.
“We have set sights on different places that we want to enter especially after Silver Spring growing into the church board.”
“Our next destination could be Kololo. That place is ripe for another Sabbath School plant. We hope that when we grow as a church, then we can gladly spread our wings.”
