“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!'” – Isaiah 6:8
This verse clearly describes the journey of evangelists and pastors, including Evangelist Martin Ssempira, who has officially joined Hope Channel Uganda as the institution’s Chaplain, Shalom Insights UG has learned.
Ssempira is joining Hope Channel, bringing an end to his tenure as the Area Pastor of Namasuba. The appointment was confirmed by Hope Channel Uganda’s manager, Isaac Kugonza.
“I can confirm that Martin Ssempira has joined Hope Channel,” Kugonza told Shalom Insights.

He further expressed excitement about the new addition to the team.
“We are thrilled to have Ssempira on board. He is a brilliant and energetic individual who fits perfectly into our environment. We anticipate significant growth under his guidance,” he added.
Meeting the Need for a Counselor
Kugonza also emphasized the station’s need for a Chaplain who could provide both spiritual guidance and counseling to its audience.
“As a station, we receive nearly 100 calls daily from viewers seeking prayers and counseling. We believe that with Ssempira’s arrival, we will be able to focus more on meeting this need,” he noted.
With his experience and passion for ministry, Evangelist Martin Ssempira is expected to make a meaningful impact at Hope Channel Uganda.
