Masaka evangelistic effort yields approximately 600 conversions

The Central Uganda Conference (CUC) recently concluded a successful Masaka Evangelistic Effort that lasted for three weeks. The first week was led by Pr William Bagambe before Pr Samuel Kajoba concluded.

The event was organized by the Adventist Men’s Department leading to around 600 individuals accepting Jesus Christ as their personal savior.

In an interview with Shalom Insights, Pr. Rogers Kaggwa, the Union Mission Communication Secretary, shared his thoughts about the concluded event.

“We thank God for blessing the work that was done in Masaka,” he emphasized.

“We also express our gratitude to the Evangelism Department for their excellent efforts. They organized several lay gospel workers who helped lay the groundwork for this success.”

“They personally went door to door, which led to the baptism of 70 people before the main evangelistic event. This foundation was crucial,” he added.

Key lessons to take home

Pr. Kaggwa highlighted several lessons learned from the effort, with his standout point being that unity can significantly enhance the church’s ability to spread the gospel.

“The main lesson I take away from this is that when we come together, we are more likely to achieve success. The unity displayed by CUC was remarkable,” he noted.

He also praised the media team for their commendable work, stating that their efforts helped many individuals access the important message even if they were not physically present in Masaka.

According to Pr. Kaggwa, this evangelistic effort serves as a launchpad for spreading the message to other parts of the country in a well-organized manner.

He also mentioned that the church has purchased a stage and is in the final stages of acquiring a public address system, chairs, and tents, which will facilitate their mission.
