Pr. Nicholas Bitamazire, General Secretary of the Seventh-day Adventist Church Uganda Union Mission, and his family were victims of a violent home invasion.
In the early hours of Friday, December 6 (late Thursday night), the family endured a terrifying ordeal at their residence.
The unfortunate incident was shared by Mrs. Racheal Bitamazire, the pastor’s wife, via a church WhatsApp group.
“I am letting you know that thieves attacked us at our place at 2:00 am,” her message partly reads.
According to Mrs. Bitamazire, the thieves jumped over the fence, brutally assaulted the security guards, and stole their firearm.
The intruders forced their way into the house by cutting through the door, attacking Pr. Bitamazire, his wife, and a young boy in the home.
The thieves escaped with cash, laptops, phones, a fridge, a television, and the family car (registration number UBQ 739P).
Mrs. Bitamazire also revealed that the attackers were armed with a gun, machetes (pangas), metallic bars, hooks, and knives, and had concealed their faces.
We urge everyone to keep the pastor’s family in their prayers and to call upon God for their continued protection during these trying and troubling times.
